| Recharge! Is
Your Dead Car Battery Symbolic? Author: Sheronde Glover
A
dead car battery is the equivalent to a thorn in the side--- that last added "I
really didn't need that" kind of scenario. You know what it's like, you're
all ready to go, keys in ignition, and then nothing.
Yeah, the car
you just got out of say 10, 20 or 30 minutes ago is suddenly dead. What happened?!
No warning, no indicators, how does one prepare for this? Well, we've gotten
word from the male sources that these days that's what batteries do, they just
go out - no forewarning, just dead --- one minute you're driving and the next
minute you're not. For the female, this throws us off guard --- the late
soccer practice, unexpected dinner guest, 10-hour work day, we can handle. We
know in our personal and business lives to expect the unexpected, but in our car
life ---well, we just tend to want that to stay in check. Those of us at
Car-Buy-Her got to thinking about the significance of dead batteries and what
they might mean in our life. It just so happens, the author's car battery died
recently --- out of the blue. Four days later a really good friend and colleague
had the same situation. Interesting we thought. Turns out we were both at
crossroads in our professional lives. We had been working recently on a slightly
overwhelming but challenging project. Although we were a bit anxious about the
project, we also realized that we felt re-energized and recharged. The work we
were doing was significant and we found it interesting that a variety of similar
projects were opening up for us. So ladies, here's our thought to you.
The next time your car battery dies on you, instead of being frustrated and anxious,
take it as an opportunity to reflect on what's going on in your life. It could
be symbolic. Maybe it's time to be recharged! What to do about a Dead
