Which is better, buying a new or used car?

Whether you buy a used or new car is really a matter of preference. Which do you want? Here are some things to consider. If the idea of buying a brand new, shiny car that depreciates the minute you drive it off the lot gets you excited, then go ahead and purchase new. If money is no object, you've never had a new car and you've been dreaming about it for years, again go ahead and buy new. If the idea of being the first and only owner makes you really happy then buy new. If the idea of saving a few dollars, okay maybe thousands and having a few miles on your next vehicle doesn't bother you, then consider buying used. If you are on a budget and need to conserve financial resources, buying used may be the best option. If you like the idea of buying options, buying directly from an individual or auction is appealing, then consider buying a used car.

As you can see it really just depends on where you're at in your life, what you want, and what you can afford. Buying a new or used car is just a matter of preference.
