Are You A Woman Friendly Dealer?

How to Keep Your Auto Maintenance
Costs Down

•  Keep good auto maintenance records (Create a folder and file for your auto maintenance records)

•  Keep up a auto good maintenance schedule (Utilize your owners manual to determine the appropriate time frames)

• Don't send male friends to auto repair shops on your behalf. They will just repeat what you've told them and will be charged just as much as you would.

•  Don't use the following phrases:

- I don't know (means you are now looking at diagnostic costs)

-  It's making a funny noise (determine what the noise sounds like and when you hear it)

- It has a funny smell (What does it smell like? Smells are distinguishable and the better you describe what you're smelling the more likely the mechanic will be able to identify a probable cause)

•  Budget for auto maintenance and repairs. The longer you wait to take care of problems, the worse you can make the situation.

• Don't buy a new model auto in its first year. Aftermarket parts may be difficult to obtain. If you insist on purchasing a new model make sure you ask about the availability of parts.
