SHOULD I BUY FROM AN AUTO AUCTION?

Most auto industry professionals and mechanics say no, it's too risky. Mainly because at an auto auction you really don't know what you're getting. However, auto auctions are options that can not be discounted. Certainly more hit or miss that dealerships or private parties, considering that most individuals sell at auctions when they've had little luck selling elsewhere. But auto auctions exist and they exist for a reason. Many auto auctions are open to dealerships only and have public options on special days. But then again dealerships have special people that know what they're doing when buying, something you probably don't. If you're a mechanic or have access to one or just like living on the risky, wild side, feel free to check them out. You never know. You might just find a great deal what talking about.
